FALL CYCLOCROSS EVENT
The 5th Annual
was well attended with 37 riders a beautiful fall day. A great time was had by all
participants
and a big
thank you to Dean Roberts, Steve Martin, Mark Mosher, and Shaughn Smith for
designing the
course. A big thanks to Subway, Norco, Specialized, and Shimano for sending Race
Prizes.

Bike Swap
Thanks to all who supported our 14th annual bike swap and tent sale on May 14th.
General Race Info
We have hosted many races in the past 13 years including Road, Cyclocross, and XC Mountain Bike events with many happy racers participating. The last 3 years we have been sponsoring a fall cyclocross race in October or November at Nauwigewauk Community Club with lots of mud and great prizes. We sponsor a Darlings Island Race Team (DIRT) with our own custom design jersey, bibshort, and arm warmer cycling uniform. Becky, Bill, and 2 sons Ben and Sam have enjoyed road and mountain bike racing a few years with many new friends. Kelley enjoys her Specialized Sequoia Road Touring bike. Look for the black, red, and white colors going by on the road, or woods. Go to www.velo.nb.ca for local upcoming races. After obtaining your race application form from Velo New Brunswick, fill it out and bring it in the shop for Bill or Becky to sign your form. If you race for us you will have to purchase a jersey from Darlings Island Bike shop and wear it at the races with the following sponsors on the jersey: Norco, Specialized, Subway, UNB SJ, Time, Culligan, and Ken Val Rehab, and Louis Garneau. And GOOD LUCK and remember to have fun.
Bicycle Trials
We have hosted 3 Bicycle Trials shows here out in front of the Shop 1 with Ryan Leech representing Norco in 2008, see him on his websites: www.ryanleech.com and www.trialsoflife.com. We also support 2 local trials riders: Nathan Nichols and Andrew Basque who have performed at many local New Brunswick events. They performed 2 years ago at the Bike Swap and Tent Sale on Saturday May 23, 2009. Check out our media section to see their videos. Kris Holmes and Ryan Senechal performed here a number of years ago representing Norco Products, Ltd.
